Vicki brings keen attention to detail to the race sites. No detail goes unnoticed, no list unchecked. She manages the flow of the day with most of her leg-work happening behind the scenes. She graduated from SUNY Cortland and is a proud mom of two girls. She is a runner at heart and merged into the sport of triathlon as an athlete and a volunteer back when she was still in high school. Being involved in the races for more than two decades, her favorite part about race day continues to be the excitement before the race starts when everyone is setting up and getting ramped up for what is about to begin!
Tara has been the EventPower logistics director for over the last decade.From smoothly run operations to instructing staff and motivating athletes, she is able to mutli-task with the best of them while having a blast at every event. Tara graduated from Adelphi University with her Master’s in SocialWork. When she is not juggling her 3 sons’ sports schedules she is an avid runner. Tara loves the race atmosphere. It is good, clean fun where she is able to work and play.
Vicki has participated in every distance of Triathlon and enjoys each stage of the race from the set-up to the finish line.Triathlon has become a way of life for her.She loves interacting and meeting all the athletes and loves helping them have the best race experience they can have. She is a USAT Coach, a USAT Official and now the Regional Officials Coordinator for theNorth East. She is a proud mom of 3 grown children and a super proud grandmother of 3. Even though Vicki spends most race mornings as our swim coordinator, her favorite part of race day is watching the athletes cross the finish line.Seeing the elation on their faces from the first finisher to the last reminds her why the sport of triathlon is so amazing.
Jack is our finish line coordinator.He is dedicated to designing and developing finish lines that give our athletes and sponsors the ideal visibility on race day. Jack ensures that our races are drone ready by paying attention to every detail when creating our finish lines.
Jack has been involved with his wife Lisa and son Joshua for 6 seasons.Jack’s looks forward to giving our athletes the best experience at our events from start to finish.
Trevor is grateful to have the opportunity to serve the Long Island Triathlon community as a member of the EventPower Team. He strives to encourage athletes and reciprocate the positive energy they bring to some of the most beautiful places on this island. His work seeks to honor the path Steve Tarpinian created for each of us to celebrate our ability to swim, bike, run and share community.
Lisa is our volunteer coordinator among other things.You may see her at packet pick up or if you help volunteer at our races she is more than happy to give you your marching orders. She will be your biggest and loudest cheerleader as you take part in our races. From time to time she will be one of the people handing you your award at the end of the race.
Working with Event Power has become a family affair as both her husband Jack and son Josh also work the races. Lisa loves being around positive, motivated, athletes.She loves watching the beginner and novice athletes achieve their goals.
Mark is our Bike and Run Course connoisseur. If he is not out marking the course and making sure all athletes will be well-guided you can find him in transition area answering any athlete’s questions. Mark’s day starts well before the sun rises and isn’t complete until every athlete crosses the finish line. His favorite part of the race Is being out on the course with the last finishers, making sure they have all the nutrition and support they need.
